Cooking together, or simply tasting your way through
The area between Valencia and Alicante is rich in fine wines and delicious dishes. Come and smell, taste and enjoy with a group of like-minded people.
The shape of the week is decided together with the participants, but it certainly includes visits to a few bodegas, food and wine tastings, workshops and shopping at the local markets. Cooking and eating together are at the heart of it, rounded off with quiet moments by the pool, a walk, a yoga session, a massage, a long breakfast and more.

Around Jalón there are bodegas where you can taste the local wines and the sweet mistela, from the small Les Freses to the cooperative in Jalón and Pepe Mendoza, by now an internationally known winemaker. An afternoon of tasting here feels like popping in next door. And in 2026 Bodega Trenza settled in Benissa. These winemakers work with grapes from all over Spain, and their wine is available in the Netherlands too.
At the Saturday market in Benissa you pick up vegetables, olives, nuts, herbs and cheese. Almost everything you need to cook together. We are happy to point you to the best stalls.
If you would rather eat out, there are plenty of excellent restaurants in the villages of the valley. From a very good menu del día to more refined, creative cooking: you will certainly run out of time before you run out of options. And in the evening we are glad to join you for a glass of wine from our own soil.
